Claudia is a Salvadoran multimedia journalist and strategic communications specialist with over 20 years of experience, designing and implementing communication strategies for development, humanitarian action, and risk management across Central America and the Caribbean. She also has extensive experience as a correspondent for international media outlets.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Journalism, with a specialization in News and Media, and has additional training in solutions journalism for climate stories and the Loss and Damage approach (Colombia and Chile).

She has over 10 years of experience designing community outreach campaigns on environmental, human rights, and gender-related issues. Experienced facilitator on participatory video workshops across the region with communities, NGOs, and government institutions.

With IRMA, she has worked as Communication Expert on the Disaster Response and Preparedness project (Sint Maarten) and the Cayman Islands Resilience Index project.

Claudia is fluent in Spanish (native) and English.
