Development of Guide to Facilitating Community-led Disaster Risk Management

IRMA produced a new guide on how to facilitate community-led DRM for Catholic Relief Services, Caritas Australia and CAFOD. The project involved capturing the lessons learned by experienced DRM field staff, as well as combining traditional tools with new thinking in the humanitarian and development sectors, to ensure that the guidance promotes a community-led, inclusive, and accountable approach.

In April 2018, IRMA founding partner, Marilise Turnbull, led a pilot training course on Community-led DRM for CRS in Cambodia, the first event in a series to roll out this new guide
